Lisa Bond

Company Director

About Lisa:

I have over 20 years’ experience in consultancy, training delivery, event facilitation, project management and frontline practice within advocacy and self-advocacy.

I am trained and qualified in Counselling, Advocacy and relevant legislation, with extensive hands-on experience of legal processes including litigation friend and Court of Protection work, non-instructed advocacy, and person-centred practice. I also hold qualifications in Training, Learning and Development, and mentoring.

I have led consultations and co-production projects for third sector organisations and local authorities, working closely with commissioners, frontline staff and service providers to improve services, strengthen practice and empower organisations to be the best they can be.

My career includes working with organisations such as Mencap, where I facilitated person-centred planning, reviews and training. I spent over 10 years working for a Self-Advocacy Group, delivering events, consultations and projects focused on co-production, brokerage and personalisation, while supporting and empowering self-advocates to understand their rights, have their voices heard and speak up for themselves.

I have also worked with a range of advocacy organisations, the NHS (as part of a Safeguarding team, delivering training), and SCIE, where I worked as a Practice Development Consultant and Trainer.

My work is driven by a strong commitment to making a meaningful difference for people who access services and for the staff who support them. I am passionate about equipping and empowering individuals and organisations to deliver high-quality, inclusive and compassionate services. I truly believe that transformative change happens when services are designed around the values, voices and aspirations of the people they exist to serve.

IMPACT is about delivering high-quality training and consultation services that are engaging, accessible and inclusive—services that drive real change and embed person-centred values in practice.

Sue Gardam

Company Director

About me:

With over 3 decades of experience as a qualified nurse, I've witnessed firsthand the importance of ongoing improvement to accessibility and empowerment within the healthcare sector.

Time spent working as a nurse both for the NHS and for the private sector combined with my experience of working in social care has seen me making a commitment to improving standards my priority. Working in a charity setting with focus on ensuring compliance led me to see the desperate need for good quality, meaningful training and support to update and improve understanding of responsibility.

Now an NRCPD registered BSL interpreter, and Lipspeaker, I am passionate about giving a voice to those who feel that they are not heard. The Deaf community in particular has been a massive focus for me of the last 10 years. I am committed to providing the understanding and cultural brokerage necessary to allow services to improve their standards for all BSL users. Shining a light on major barriers faced and how services can address this gap in understanding.

My passion lies in empowering individuals, by advocating for accessibility and inclusivity. Having seen deficiencies in these areas, I am determined to influence systemic change and by supporting better practice, ensuring that everyone has equitable access to the standard of care and support they deserve and are entitled to.

Through IMPACT, I strive to support professionals to elevate industry standards  across all sectors by sharing how services can comply with current legislation, championing accessibility initiatives, promoting equal opportunities and equitable access.

Together, let's create a world where everyone's voice is heard and valued!
